It was just a fitting option for a brief hiatus in Barnsley with very good value for money. The bottled lagers offered a decent selection, but they were warm. Best to check drink temperatures before ordering.

The Double Room displayed decent furnishings and appeared clean, particularly the effort made by the housekeeping team on the first floor. Breakfast offered a solid selection with regularly restocked options, including tasty cooked items like scrambled eggs and Cumberland sausage.

The overall experience left something to be desired. One lift was out of commission upon arrival, with the other also failing later during the stay, inconvenient for lugging bags. The food quality in the restaurant fell short. my main course included too much inedible fat. the decor, especially in corridors and lift lobbies, felt dated and in need of a refurbishment. Lastly, the men’s toilets had an unpleasing odor, and the sink in our room drained slowly, which could be off-putting for some guests.

Had a fab time! The staff were super chill and helpful, especially Brooke at the restaurant. She took care of my gluten-free needs and even brought me a list of options. Plus, there was a cute note from the cleaners in our room. Only thing, the bar area was a bit crowded sometimes.

We had a fantastic time exploring the pirate-themed water slides at the Metrodome Leisure Complex nearby! The highlight for my teenage daughter was definitely the fast-flowing flume slides, and we were all pleased to find that kids can eat for free anytime. The manager was especially helpful during our stay.

In my wife’s opinion, the kettle in our room could have been better. A simple upgrade would make a big difference for families enjoying downtime together.

During my stay, I loved being just a short stroll from Locke Park, where I enjoyed the beautiful views, and the Cooper Gallery, which added a nice touch of culture to my weekend explorations. the staff were also friendly and helpful, making my experience even better.

The Angus beef at the Curry Mahal is a pure delight! Plus, the room was fab, and I loved the cheerful staff who could not do enough for you. Their breakfast spread had everything from toast to croissants, setting you up for the day ahead.

Had a proper nightmare with the noisy neighbors, TV blaring until 2:30 am! They sorted it when I complained, but woke me by 7 am for round two. A lovely hotel overall, just not the best for a good night's kip!

the staff were super friendly n helpful, especially for disabled folks. the meals were amazin, especially the slow braised belly pork, so fresh n well cooked. breakfast was good too, huge selection for the price. our room was clean, comfy, n perfect for wheelchair access. got a late checkout which made things easy.

the walls were a bit thin so could hear noise from next door. also, no fancy TV, which was a let down.
